This week the c3 team attended Digital City Festival in Manchester and it’s been a jam-packed week full of digital content, insightful talks, networking, and a few award wins too! Over the course of the week there has been a whole host of interesting events including an International Women’s Day panel, a two-day expo and events focussing on the Metaverse, esports, NFTs, cyber security, social media and so much more!

Here’s what we got up to…

SocialNorth

Kenny and Millie from our social team kick started the week at SocialNorth. The event, in partnership with Meltwater, welcomed those working in social and digital across the north. The team had a great night hearing from leading marketers, meeting others working within the industry and enjoying a well-deserved night out.

Digital City Expo

Wednesday and Thursday saw the Digital City Expo return to the Central Convention Complex centre – a great venue for the event. The two-day expo brought together thousands of delegates from across the North of England to showcase the latest in digital.

It’s safe to say it’s been a while since we all attended in person events, but our marketing team dusted off their networking skills, repped our c3 merch and chatted to so many people working in the northern digital and tech industries. We had a great two days and are happy to report we enjoyed being back out and about at a real-life event!

The talks

With inspiring talks across eight stages, there was loads of great digital content and insight shared over the two days. Our very own Head of Digital PR, Rosa Mitchell, took to the stage on day 1 to discuss how to accurately show the success of Digital PR campaigns. The audience was jam-packed, with standing-room only and lots of great questions asked.

Digital City Festival Awards

The week’s festivities ended on a high at the Digital City Festival Awards where we won 3 awards! After only 2.5 years in business, we’re super proud to have taken home Best Large Digital Company, it’s a testament to the amazing work the team do day in and out. We also won Digital Marketing Campaign of the Year for our work with Canine Cottages and the incredible Rosa picked up highly commended for Digital Leader of the Year.

It really does feel like an exciting time to be based in Manchester, with the digital and tech industries growing at fast rate. Events like this are a testament to the incredible digital community in the north, and we’re so excited to see our Manchester team grow in this amazing city.
