ONS HOUSE PRICE INDEX, WEDNESDAY 21st APRIL

ONS releases its monthly House Price Index on Wednesday 21st April, which is a great opportunity for home, property, and finance experts.

The House Price Index runs through house price inflation rates in the UK and how they’ve changed month on month. The housing market has seen unprecedented growth in the past year, with housing prices continuing to rise in the UK. It will be interesting to see what the new figures say, and to see if the extension of the Stamp Duty deadline has impacted them at all.

CONSUMER PRICE INFLATION INDEX, WEDNESDAY 21ST APRIL

Released by National Statistics, the consumer price index is a key indicator to measure inflation and changes in purchasing trends in the UK.

Consisting of different consumer trends including retail, housing, cars, games, and fuels, this is a great opportunity for a variety of different experts to comment on what these new stats show about consumers in the UK.

DRIVING TESTS RESTART, THURSDAY 22ND APRIL

A great opportunity for experts in the motor industry, from Thursday 22nd April, driving tests are allowed to restart in England and Wales.

Driving lessons were able to start on April 12th, and this is welcome news for any learner drivers who have been unable to take their tests during lockdowns in the UK.

Aiming to raise awareness of climate change and global warming, Earth Day is a worldwide celebration in honour of Mother Earth.

This year’s theme is ‘Restore the Earth’, and it’s a great opportunity for any climate, environmental, sustainability or travel experts.

WORLD BOOK NIGHT, FRIDAY 23RD APRIL

An annual celebration of books and reading, World Book Night aims to inspire people to read more. This year’s theme is ‘Books to make you smile’, and a selection of books are given away in care homes, youth centres, colleges, public libraries and mental health groups.
