Valentine’s Day – 14th February

Just a few days away now we have Valentine’s Day, an international celebration of all things love and romance.

This could offer leverage if you’re working with staycation clients, gift clients or if your client is in the food industry! International Singles Awareness Day – 15th  February

Following Valentine’s Day is the lesser known International Singles Awareness Day, which makes room for plenty of very light-hearted, fluffy PR campaigns.

You can encourage singletons across the world to celebrate their nearest and dearest with a campaign that incorporates social media activity too. A full rundown of what the day is all about can be found, here.

ONS: Review of Homeworking and Spending During Coronavirus (April 2020-January 2022) – 14th February

The UK’s Office of National Statistics offers a ‘pandemic and homeworking personal spending forecast’ in the middle of February. What makes this release particularly unique is that it looks at spending habits from the middle of 2020, when the pandemic first took hold in Britain, to January 2022. This lets you take a substantial look at finance trends over the last couple of years.

Random Act of Kindness Day – 17th  February

Plenty of lifestyle clients prefer to keep their campaigns light-hearted and positive, Random Act of Kindness Day is the perfect day to do just that with your PR activities. It’s also a great opportunity to reflect on the client’s industry. And if your client actively supports mental health, you can use this as an angle in your next campaign.

National Love Your Pet Day – 20th February

This is a super cute national awareness day. If you have clients that work around animals, lifestyle or the home, this could be an amazing talking point for you.

Perhaps pull some data around dog breeds. Or, you could create a top-tips piece on pet psychology and speak to a psychologist. You could even organise a survey on how many Brits would love to be able to bring their pet to work each day!
