Want to know what’s happening in the world of Digital PR from the 14th – 22nd August? We’ve got you covered…

With summer holidays in full swing, there are plenty of PR opportunities coming up this week, from the UK house price index to men’s grooming day. Just read on to see the full list below.

RIGHTMOVE HOUSE PRICE INDEX, 16TH OF AUGUST

Calling all property PR’s, this is a great newsjacking opportunity for you. The Rightmove House Price Index (HPI) measures the change in the asking price of homes for sale. And to note, a higher-than-expected reading should be taken as positive for the GBP, while a lower reading is negative for the GBP.

Check out the data which will be released on Monday morning, here.

UK HOUSE PRICE INDEX, 18th OF AUGUST

It’s that time of the month again when ONS release the UK House Price Index, this is a great newsjacking opportunity for any clients in the property and financial industry. Just make sure you get in there quickly, to really get your voice heard!

The data is released on the morning of Wednesday the 18th of August, which you can find, here.

WORLD PHOTO DAY, 19th AUGUST

Photography lovers across the globe will be celebrating World Photo Day. ONS releases its construction data every month, and this is a great reactive PR opportunity. The day talks for itself but offers a great opportunity for photography clients or those with photo led (or Instagram) data.

For more information on World Photo Day, you can find it on this page.

MEN’S GROOMING DAY, 20th OF AUGUST

Men – listen up; August 20th is Men’s Grooming Day, which encourages men to proactively manage their appearance. This is a great chance for experts in the health and beauty sector, as there are plenty of opportunities available to tap into, including grooming tips and trends.

For more information on Men’s Grooming Day, you can find it here.

UK RETAIL SALES, 20TH OF AUGUST

Retail Sales is a popular newsjacking opportunity for those working across the financial and retail sectors. Retail Sales gauges the change in the value of sales in retail across the country. And it’s a key indicator of consumer spending accounting for most of the overall economic level. As with all newsjacking comments, it’s key to add a fresh new opinion rather than rely on one that’s already been discussed.

The retail sales data is released on the morning of Friday 20th August, which you can find, here.
