With the second week of January out of the way and the Friday feels in full force, we’re back with another round-up. So, what’s coming up in the world of Digital PR next week? Let’s settle some of those January blues…

With the saddest day of the year coming up, as well as a new season of Too Hot to Handle launching, we’ve pulled some key events occurring next week to use in your PR strategy.

17TH-23RD of JANUARY, BIG ENERGY SAVING WEEK 2022

As life continues to get more expensive by the minute, and energy bills have hit an all-time high, Citizen’s Advice is launching its eighth Big Energy Saving Week campaign. Throughout this campaign, they aim to help homeowners across England and Wales by providing useful ways to save money on their bills while still keeping warm.

If you have any clients in the likes of the property or finance industry, then this could be an opportunity to reach out to relevant journalists with any stats around energy bills. Or, you could provide unique tips on keeping the warmth in and those bills down… As long as they are genuinely helpful pointers, and not along the lines of “cuddle your pets”!

17TH of JANUARY, BLUE MONDAY

The most depressing day of the year is finally upon us, with Blue Monday starting next week.

To help people with their January blues, this could be an opportunity to outreach any tip-lead pieces on subjects surrounding surviving the first month after the Christmas break. This could be anything from tips to feel more productive at work, to ideas on how to create the ultimate pamper evening.

WEDNESDAY 19TH  of JANUARY, ONS HOUSE PRICE INDEX

That time of the month is back again, as the ONS reveal average house prices around the UK. The data will be looking back at house prices for November 2021, and will be released at 9:30 AM on Wednesday. So make sure you have your reactive comments ready at the race line to get them out to journalists first!

WEDNESDAY 19TH of JANUARY, SEASON 3 – TOO HOT TO HANDLE RELEASE

Another TV show based on finding your soulmate is set to return to our screens as Netflix launch their third season of Too Hot to Handle.

With this also comes another round of potential lifestyle influencers, who are set to pave their way into the industry following the show. This means the wealth of PR opportunities here is vast! Social listening data is probably going to be your best friend here, to track which contestant is set to be favourite.

Now it’s time to go get those links…

We hope that you found this useful for planning next week’s strategies! If you’d like to see more of our digital PR work, head over to our PR page.
