Travel SEO: Growing visibility in AI search
How a Precision SEO focus on core destinations led to a holiday provider becoming a challenger brand in AI search.
With a focused Precision SEO strategy, we helped a global holiday provider strengthen visibility across both traditional and AI search. By prioritising three high-value destinations and combining technical SEO, content optimisation and digital PR, we delivered significant growth in AI visibility, LLM traffic and conversions – helping the brand emerge as a challenger in AI search.

Our client is an online travel brand that offers holidays all around the world, with specific expertise in the Middle East, Far East, and the Indian Ocean.
Their connections with global airlines and hotels mean customers can enjoy luxury getaways, at the best prices.
Our client came to us with three key destinations they wanted to grow their visibility, traffic and revenue for – both on traditional SERPs, as well as AI search.
They were already investing in PR, which was working well for them, but it became apparent that they needed to have a dedicated organic retainer if they wanted to boost their visibility quicker. The other challenge was that budgets were on the lower end, so we needed to prioritise quick wins with the time we had.
Across the first six-month project we ran with our client, we focused on one core destination every two months.
Our time was spent on the following, prioritising the three focus destinations:
- Running a tech audit of the site, and working through priority recommendations
- Auditing and optimising core PLPs and subcategory pages
- Auditing the blog and conducting a content gap analysis; and creating blog content in-line with that
- Driving brand mentions and quality referring domains
The results
This targeted approach not only led to traditional Google SEO metrics increasing, but AI visibility too. As of July 2026, we gained an additional 55 x AI Overviews across the three core destinations, with a combined total monthly search volume of 26,400.
Across the site as a whole, we also saw:
increase in LLM traffic QoQ, with the core destinations playing a big part in this
LLM features – the largest increase of any competitor
increase in conversions from LLMs QoQ
impressions across LLMs, in the space of one month
