When OC&C Strategy Consultants needed to cut through a crowded landscape, they approached us. We launched an international PR strategy that transformed their industry reports into multi-market headlines. Blending data-led media relations with performance activity, we secured 275 global results (including major TV features) and drove a massive 41% YoY increase in organic traffic, dramatically boosting their visibility in key markets and AI-driven search surfaces.

OC&C Strategy Consultants is a global strategy consulting firm with offices across North America, Europe and APAC. The business partners with senior leaders across multinational organisations, national champions and private equity firms, supporting them with high impact strategic decisions including growth planning, pricing, market entry and mergers and acquisitions.

OC&C Strategy Consultants appointed us in July 2024 to strengthen brand visibility and credibility by promoting their annual industry hero reports across business, national and industry specific media. Launched yearly, these reports deliver data-led insights across multiple industries, but the challenge was cutting through a crowded consultancy landscape and ensuring consistent, year round media presence.

Our objective was to combine PR and performance activity to increase digital visibility among priority audiences, expand awareness across key markets (the UK, France, Germany, Italy and the US), and position OC&C Strategy Consultants as a trusted expert voice not only in traditional search, but also within emerging AI driven discovery surfaces, where authoritative brand mentions play a critical role in visibility.

The strategy

We implemented an always on PR strategy that blended proactive and reactive commentary to build sustained visibility and brand credibility. Insights and statistics from OC&C’s industry reports were distilled into data-led press releases and concise one pager summaries, making it easy for journalists to extract newsworthy angles.

Example campaigns

  • In the UK, we outreached the Second Hand Fashion Report, which resonated strongly with UK media due to the growing popularity of resale platforms such as Vinted and eBay’s acquisition of Depop. This secured coverage in several high-tier, highly relevant publications, including Drapers, where the report was also referenced during one of their webinars.
  • In France, our knowledge of the media landscape showed that coverage is more likely when insights reference well known household brands. For OC&C’s Retail Price Index (RPI) report, we therefore focused on the top 10 brands in France for 2024, including Decathlon, Amazon, and AromaZone, aligning the data with current media trends. This resulted in 96 pieces of coverage with an average DA of 72, as well as two major national TV features on BFM TV and RMC.

This was supported by timely responses to breaking industry news and highly targeted outreach to niche, engaged publications. The sector specific depth of the reports, combined with reactive outreach across key growth sectors including FMCG, retail, private equity, automotive and TMT, helped increase visibility across priority territories.

Reactive campaigns

  • In the UK, we capitalised on the reactive opportunity to comment on the Warner Bros./Paramount deal, offering a fresh perspective from an OC&C Partner. This converted into seven pieces of coverage, all from high authority publications with a DA of 82+.
  • For niche outreach, we also used insights from the RPI report and tailored them to specific sectors, including card and gifting, DIY and homebuilding, and the beverage market in the UK. This targeted outreach secured nine results alone, helping to diversify their backlink profile and increase brand awareness across multiple industries.

International reach

The strategy was scaled internationally through market specific execution. In France, we translated key insights from the RPI and Cold Storage reports, tailoring outreach to national and trade titles to maximise relevance and pickup. Across DACH, we focused on hyper local, data driven storytelling aligned with German media preferences, prioritising authoritative outlets and verified sources.

The results

2024-2026 saw a total of 275 features across all four regions, with overall organic traffic to the site has increased by 41% YoY between 2024 and 2025.

Our approach enabled OC&C Strategy Consultants to move from episodic report promotion to a consistent, authoritative presence across key markets and sectors. In the UK alone, the brand gained a reach of 20.7M across all results in 2025 and 1.98M across all results in 2024, strengthened brand awareness in diverse markets, with retail leading the way with 61% of coverage and increased their average DA from 49 in 2024 to 62 in 2025. 

Global results between August 2024 and December 2025 directly contributed to increased traffic share across priority sectors, resulting in a 200% retail uplift, 950% consultancy uplift, and 27.8% TMT uplift.
