On Wednesday 27 April we held our first in-person event in Manchester, and we had the best time. The event was a sell out and it was great to have so many of you with us – we can’t wait for the next one!

As a marketing team we are big believers of in person events. We’ve ran countless events in Leeds, where we are headquartered, and with a growing Manchester team, we thought it was about time we hosted an event in Manchester.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, there’s a really exciting buzz in the digital scene in the north west and we’ve seen first-hand how rapidly things are expanding with our Manchester office growing from 3-15 people in a short amount of time. And that’s only the start, with more new hires due to start soon and a new office pending – watch this space!

THE EVENT

Impossible was bustling with passionate digital marketers and was the perfect venue for relaxed and informal networking – we wanted to make sure our chosen venue wasn’t too corporate and formal, and I think we picked the perfect one! We had an amazing turn out with marketers from different industries and agencies joining us.

THE PANEL

Big thanks to Rosa Mitchell (connective3), Olivia Mae Hanlon (Girls in Marketing), Lidia Infante (BigCommerce), and Ben Barker (Manchester Airport Group) for joining us on the panel and for their insightful and interesting discussion points. There was a resounding sentiment that the north is where it’s happening, as Lidia said, ‘I genuinely think the community in the north is better!’ and we think she’s right.
