BANK OF ENGLAND MONEY AND CREDIT RELEASE – 1ST MARCH

We’re kicking off the month of March with a report from the Bank of England which offers monthly insight into UK business and consumer lending.

This is a great one to keep on your radar if you’re working in consumer finance and property.

UK NATIONAL OLD STUFF DAY MARCH – 2ND MARCH

Out with the old and in with the new: The UK’s National Old Stuff Day urges everyone to try something new – whether that be a new skill, new food, or replacing the old flickering lightbulb in the pantry – it’s something everyone can find value in.

With the day fast approaching on March 2nd, this national awareness day could give rise to some lovely feel-good campaigns as we head out of winter.

ONS SICKNESS ABSCENES UK LABOUR RELEASE – 3rd MARCH

If your area of focus is employment, lifestyle, and/or health, this release offering insight into the UK’s 2019-2020 workplace sickies might offer inspiration, especially as we saw the UK under the grips of a national pandemic this year. The ONS release outlines the number of sick days in the UK 2019-2020, as well as the total number of days lost and what the reasons were for absence.

ONS CORONAVIRUS: LATEST INDICATORS OF UK ECONOMY – 4TH MARCH

On the 4th of March, ONS will be releasing their latest Indicators on the health of the UK economy in relation to Coronavirus. Released at 9:30 AM, this release will provide experimental data on the impact COVID19 has had on UK society and economy.

WORLD BOOK DAY – 4TH  MARCH

Just in time for schools re-opening Monday, March 8th, World Book Day is celebrated the Thursday before, on March 4th.

This could see families dressed as famous characters and posting their innovative costumes online and everyone picking up new books ahead of a cosy weekend inside. There is huge potential here for an amazing human-interest piece and social media campaign!

THE HALIFAX HOUSE PRICING INDEX – 5th MARCH

Finally, Friday at 8:30 AM, Halifax is due to release its monthly House Pricing Index.

This is a great opportunity to spot seasonal adjustments to the UK property market which is particularly topical as the UK enters recession and we see the possible extension of the Stamp Duty holiday.
