With a heatwave on the horizon and the summer holidays in full swing, there are plenty of PR opportunities coming up this week:

NATIONAL ALLOTMENT’S WEEK 9th – 15th AUGUST

National Allotment’s Week celebrates all things gardening! This year’s theme is Plotting for the Future, which focuses on the contribution that allotments help make towards a sustainable future. So, if you have experts in the gardening or home sector, this could be one for you.

CONSTRUCTION OUTPUT, 12th AUGUST

ONS releases its construction data every month, and it’s a great reactive PR opportunity. The data talks about the level of construction output in the UK. And it offers a great chance for clients in the property industry to talk and offer their expert opinion in response to the data.

The data is released on the morning of the 12th of August, which you can find on this page.

CORONAVIRUS AND THE IMPACT ON UK ECONOMY, 12th AUGUST

August 12th is also the date when new data on Coronavirus and its impact on the UK economy is released by ONS. This dataset will reveal how Coronavirus has impacted service providers. This will include food and beverage, arts, entertainment and recreation, as well as production companies like manufacturing, construction, electricity, water supply industries, and focuses on the month of June 2021.

This is a great opportunity for experts in several different industries, including those above. Head here to see the latest data on the day.

UK HEATWAVE, 9th – 15th AUGUST (HOPEFULLY!)

We’re set for another heatwave in the UK, and sooner than you think, with areas of high pressure moving into the UK from next week. Although it can’t be guaranteed, this is a great opportunity for experts in a variety of different industries – including travel, insurance, motoring, pet, environment and even HR.
