It’s Friday, which only means one thing – our digital PR round-up! So, what’s coming up in the world of PR next week?

From a new Downton Abbey film to the early May bank holiday weekend, here’s how you can use upcoming opportunities to your best advantage.

International Stop Food Waste Day – April 27th

International Stop Food Waste Day is an international day of action in the fight against food waste. Statistics show that roughly one-third of the food produced globally is either lost or wasted every year. This could be a chance to really get people thinking about things they could be doing differently to cut down on food waste.

Businesses could prompt people to reduce their food wastage by sharing helpful tips on how to store food properly, to make it last longer. Or, even share recipes that can be frozen and eaten later on.

Another option could be to look at the most searched questions regarding how to store food, and which foods spoil quickest.

Downton Abbey: A New Era – April 29th

The new film sees the Crawley family take a trip to the French Riviera. The release of this well-loved historical drama is a great opportunity to see if there have been any spikes in fashion or décor trends.

Businesses could always give interior tips on how to style a home like a true aristocrat, or even beauty tips on how to get that 1920s glam look.

May bank holiday – May 2nd

Another Bank holiday is upon us! The Early May Bank Holiday has lots of PR opportunities to capitalise on! From top places for a day trip to where the busiest places are, or even to how to organise a fun family get-together, there’s plenty of reactive activity to be doing ahead of the long bank holiday weekend.
